I'm so stressed right now.
The never-ending lab reports which have to be submitted weekly.Upcoming tests. And I feel as though I've wasted my time doing something which is nothing.or rather,I think I wasted my time dawdling over breakfast, lunch, dinner and titbit breaks...sigh...
I need someone or something to push me,to motivate me,to remind me of the purpose why I am here in Kampar,in UTAR...uh...
Can somebody just put me back into the road where I'm supposed to be instead of going another stray path?
Sigh again...

I'm loving it...:)
Ah...those who read my blog may think that I'm very cheong hei wan...don't know say how many times already this particular statement: I love my life here in Kampar!!!
The Before and After Story...
Before the first Mechanics practical,I had this kind of feeling that my tutorial mates are kinda cold...not-so-friendly...yeah,something like that...
After or rather, during the practical session,we kinda joked around with each other,laughed,chatted...so nice and happy communicating and getting to know each other. That's where I started to realise that this bunch of people are actually...Okay.Nice.Friendly.Hmm.
Although I'm starting to get closer to them, meaning to say that I do talk to them, laugh over stupid jokes and stuff like that, but I still can't get used to hanging around with them. It's like I'm always walking alone, eating alone, working alone (except practicals of course)...The Lone Ranger...Well,partly because most of them live in the Westlake area,I'm the opposite wan...I'm currently living at the Eastlake area...haha...I usually don't and can't attend any events such as BBQ held there.I'm missing my opportunity mixing and getting to know them better...Sigh.Anyways,I'm already used to it cos' I've been like that for quite some time...
Finally! Usually I don't have the chance to publish this PARTICULAR post...I've kept this post for a very long time!Haiz, hopefully,my house will have Internet connection soon.I'm dying to blog more about my life here...
Will return to the blogging world soon.
Dakara...Sayonara! : )

Leading a Utarian life in Kampar...
Well,well...
It seems to be like one month since I've last posted anything here! I was hoping to get internet access and continue facebooking, mailing, anything to do with online-ing, like nobody's business! Unfortunately...the place where I'm currently staying right now has NO internet access = NO FB = NO MSN = NO GOOGLE = ONLINE ACTIVITY DEAD. "ARGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", Jonie yells aloud in her brain, mind and heart.
So,the only place I can gain access to the net is at the campus library or the com labs. However, that doesn't mean I would be able to go online frequently as there are specific times which allow we students to do so,especially the com labs. The library,uh...it's mostly fully-booked so...jangan haraplah...There's one time where I was so happy that not much people were using the com in the library but...rupa rupanya, the line sucks at that time.Great.
Haiz...right now,I'm getting used to using the coms in the com labs so...dear friends,I'm basically coming back to online-ing life.Hehe...yay...lol...: )
Life in Kampar is pretty simple and peaceful, which is basically the kind of life I would love to have.Mode of transport to places is mostly my dear old-grandma-type of bicycle (here you go,someone will be calling "AH Mah!" again...sigh...).One word to describe my life here: nice. : ) : )
Okay,I shall stop here and continue some other time,if not I shall continue telling you endless stories of my life in Kampar which may be boring so.......adieu people...

Few more days...
Basically,I'm just repeating the same topic but I feel like saying something anyway.
Well,I'm going down to Kampar this coming Monday.Goodbye (in advanced) Penang!Goodbye, dear friends!I'll surely miss my usual life.Though boring and unproductive,it feels good to be able to relax,do practically nothing except household chores, wake up late, chew my food slowly,go online everyday in the morning, watch TV,laugh at those silly ridiculous acts and dialogues together with my family and sleep without worrying about anything. What a nice and peaceful life...
However,I would not be able to live this kind of life from Monday onwards (unless I'm old and retired already which is still a long long long way to go...:) )
I love you,Penang! *sob*

I wonder...
I wonder how my life is going to be when I am in Kampar.
Living in Kampar means I'll be separated from my family and friends in Penang and start a new chapter in a foreign place independently. No more readily available food from my parents. No more funny jokes and words to LOL about together with my siblings. No more family discussions about random topics.I would be all alone...soon.
Communicating with my family would never be the same again.I would not be able to talk freely as how I used to do anymore.Talking through the phone is weird to me...as though it's a stranger speaking at the end of the phone line. That's why I prefer sms-ing...Just type out whatever that is in your mind without being afraid of how others react to your words (cos you can't see their faces and reactions).
Hmm...I'm not even there yet but I've already given so much thoughts about it...what lar you,Jonie.
Sheesh.

I hate being sick!
Great.*coughs coughs*
I'm coughing right now.Badly.I hate it.
Thanks to my brother who started the cough-chain to my sister,my sister to my father, and lastly,I caught it from both my sister and brother.Sheesh.Regardless of how many times I warn my siblings of the consequences if they ever pass on the cough to me,how many times I constantly tell my siblings not to cough or talk close to me,the germs still get to me.Hmm.
I wonder why there's no total cure for cough.Like chickenpox, where you have them once and for all.The antibodies recognise the pathogens or something and attack them.If only we have a cough once and for all.Ahh...Easy...you don't have to be afraid of getting it again cos you won't.If only every single disease and sickness is like chickenpox...once and for all...
I hope that I would get well as soon as possible. *coughs coughs*

First trip to Kampar
Went down to Kampar together with my parents on Friday,7 May 2010.
We went down by bus (cos' we want to experience how it's like and besides,my parents want me to learn where to get the tickets, etc etc...)and as we are travelling like that for the first time,we did not know that we are not supposed to get down from the bus when it stopped at the Gopeng bus station. Thanks to a guy who told us to get down at that station(he himself does not even know where we should stop to go to UTAR...),we,namely my dad,mum and me,blur-ly walked down from the bus.We went round asking people where should we do next to go to UTAR.Haha, you might be surprised, some of these locals don't even know where UTAR is.One of them had thought that we wanted to travel down to Batu Gajah!Does UTAR sounds like Batu Gajah?
Anyways...we were extremely hungry so we went to look for a Chinese kopitiam but at the end,we settled for lunch at one of the mamak coffee shop. After lunch,we asked a girl at one of the nearby bus stop and thankfully, she proved to be quite helpful. We got onto a green-striped bus (the locals called the bus 'Green Bus') and managed to get to the old town of Kampar. Here,we chartered a taxi to the UTAR campus...Phew!To think that we wasted five hours solely on getting to the place!!!!!
Reaching the campus,we went to the Department of Student Affairs and got some information regarding the accommodation.UTAR does not provide lodging for students.Students can either get an accommodation at Danish House (Westlake area, which is nearer to Block A of the campus) or rent rooms from housing estates like Taman Kampar PErdana,Taman Kampar Jaya,Taman Bandar Baru or Bandar Barat(nearby Danish House). We did not have much time,so we called a taxi to Taman Kampar Perdana to meet this girl, who was actually a student studying at UTAR,regarding an available room for rent.We were shocked to see that the house was totally bare except for a few lightings and fans!We had expected to see a fully-furnished house. And the rental is RM170,not even inclusive of utility bills. And it seemed that the house wasn't exactly safe and secure.I was hoping the place to be suitable and okay but it turned out that it wasn't good at all.
Dad was getting restless and impatient. He was expecting to settle my accommodation problem completely when we were in Kampar but it seemed that I'll be left with no place to stay unless I booked a room at Danish House. You might be wondering, why the trouble when you can get a lodging at DH?The reason is...we were afraid that the place there would be very noisy. There are about more than ten students living under the same roof, you can't expect enough privacy and a peaceful yet quiet environment. Moreover, from what I heard from a senior student, electricity and water bills may be high there.Food would not be a problem as there are food outlets nearby the area but it would be costly. You aren't allowed to cook though except for 'simple cooking' like Milo, instant noodles.Haha.What if I'm vegetarian for the day???And know what?If you stay in DH,you have to sign a one-year agreement. In that agreement,it is stated that if you want to move out of DH after staying there, you have to pay a one-year rental before you are allowed to stay somewhere else not under DH!That's why we preferred to search for other rooms.
We could only spend about one to two hours on the accommodation problem.By five in evening,we had to take a bus back to Penang. So,in the end,I booked a twin-sharing room in DH.What to do?If only there's other suitable,fully-furnished,single,small or medium, reasonable room at the mentioned housing estates.I don't mind if it's far and whatnot but unfortunately, most of them have been rented out!!!Padan muka to me for being a Princess Procrastinator...the late bird catches no worms at all.....
Right now,I just wish and hope that there's another better option of accommodation.
Help.
Hello?Can someone hear me out?
Add another sigh to my sighing list.
