The night's quiet and peaceful, yet I can't help feeling somewhat restless inside. Maybe it's because the night is void of lively activities to keep the mind away from slipping into boredom and loneliness. What is there to do? There's studies for finals, listening to music, watching videos, gaming, reading, chatting...but hmm, all those don't seem to be able to subdue the restlessness. I've been studying almost the whole day (ineffective revision though heh <.<), listening to some favourite songs with repeat mode on, watching Tangled the movie and crying at parts that touched my heart, gaming with a friend on LoL only for an AI game...but all that could only do that much to keep me entertained temporarily. Don't feel like picking up a book to read for now, nor doing any writing. Chatting does wonders, except the person I want to chat with isn't around. : /
Sigh, maybe I should just wish the world goodnight now.
*wishes a silent goodnight*

I wish.
The longings, the pain.
The heavy feelings inside.
Sometimes in life, you just wish that things could be simpler. You just wish that whatever you wish for would happen for real, right now. But life isn't a fairytale or a fantasy world where magical things happen; you don't simply get what you wish for. You have to either work hard to make that wish come true, or just continue wishing for all you care. That's reality; that's life.
Yet...
I wish.
I just wish.
I keep wishing...
...because it helps me pass the time. It allows me to think of the things I want to do, all the pleasant stuff, the nice moments, which could turn into great memories to be cherished later. I want to work to make it come true, but circumstances do not allow me to do so...for now. All I could do now is to wish and wait.
Wish and wait...
...and wish and wait.
And wait, I will. I will wait.
Just feeling like writing part of whatever that's inside me here, to express how I feel a bit. But I know it takes time for that heavy feelings to move on..

A-Z Questions: Me
Happened to go through a friend's Note on FB, and felt like doing the same thing as well, answering these questions. Except I prefer doing them here then on FB, since my FB Notes are solely for creative (but not exactly creative) writing purposes. Heh.
~~~
A – Accidents
01. Have you ever been in a car accident?
No.
02. Do you have a lot of scars?
Not really, just a few from bicycle accidents.
03. Have you ever been in a fist fight with someone?
If you consider hitting my younger brother as a fist fight, then yes I suppose. Other than that, no.
04. Have you ever seriously hurt anyone by mistake?
Not sure, can't remember if I did.
05. Have you ever had stitches? Where?
No.
B – Beauty
06. Do you consider yourself beautiful?
No.
07. Are you self conscious of how you look?
Somewhat, but only when I'm bored.
08. Do you put on a lot of makeup?
I don't use makeup for the time being.
09. Would you ever consider getting plastic surgery?
Never.
10. What do you think makes a person beautiful?
The goods I see in the person's true personality.
C – Consequences
11. What was the longest amount of time you’ve been grounded for?
Being grounded's never in my dictionary.
12. What would you do if you got pregnant, keep it or have an abortion?
o.o If it comes to that, I'll keep it for sure.
13. Do you ever think about how your actions affect other people?
Most of the time. But sometimes I tend to forget and...hmm.
14. What do you think is the worst punishment someone could give you?
Having this guilty feeling of the mistakes I did.
15. What is one thing you wish you didn’t do, just because it wasn’t worth it in the end?
Being all emo and worrisome for nothing.
D – Dealing
16. When you are mad at someone, how do you show them?
Depends. I get into a short debate with family members then calm myself down by keeping quiet. Sometimes, I can get angry to the point of crying. If it's friends, I don't usually show it outright; more of grumbling and writing my feelings furiously in my diary.
17. Name a time when you had to be strong.
The feeling of being absolutely helpless yet having to continue life as it is.
18. Have you ever dealt with a divorce or parents fighting? Any kind of abuse at home?
Parents fighting yes. But that was a very long time ago...let bygones be bygones.
19. When people at school don’t accept you, or have problems with you, how do you react?
I usually try to find out the reason so that I can improve myself from there, but these days, it doesn't matter anymore.
20. Have you ever lost someone to death? Explain how you got through it.
Yes, and I think most people do. Felt sad and sort of regretted not being able to talk to her more, but hmm, it's already over anyway.
Had a part-time job though. Nope.
24. Do you think you are ready to be on your own (have your own home, job, etc.)?
I don't think so.
25. How old do you act?
Erm, depends on my mood I suppose. I can be all mature when I see fit, or just acting childish and plain crazy.
Mature when need be, childish when the time feels right.
I don't think about that anyway. Lol.
I'd like to think that I'm an optimist though.
38. Do you believe in fate, that everything happens for a reason, or do you think that our actions lead the way?
Our actions lead the way most of the time, although I do believe that there are certain things in life that are not under our control. Err...half-half I suppose?
39. Do you think that after we die our spirit is still alive?
Yes.
40. What gives you hope when you just feel like dying?
Huh, why the hate? I'd like to think that it's sweet though...if they really mean it of course.
60. Does it take a lot for you to say you love someone, or is it just a word?
The highest I would trust a person is only up to 97%, never a 100% (except my family members).
Mood: Slightly disappointed. Sigh.
Cause: Have to forgo a dance event, which I have been looking forward to it after practising the dance moves for about two weeks. Sigh.
Root of problem: Having a partial clavicle fracture at my left shoulder due to a bicycle accident on Tuesday afternoon, 5 July. Sigh.
Actions to better the mood: Not much. Just trying to stay cool and calm about my withdrawal from the event but...sigh.
Positivity: Moderate. Trying to retain my cheerfulness at all times. Sigh.
I'm actually excited to be able to participate in that event but now...all my hopes are being thrown aside. Right now, I can only watch as my partner dances with another, which reminds me of my condition. Sigh, disappointed.
Am I sorta a perfectionist? I wonder...
Sometimes, I wonder if I think too much and end up making things sound even more complicated. Or is it because my expectation on things goes beyond the normal level?
I notice that I usually want whatever I do to be near perfect, be it a simple 5-minute presentation, mini sketch or in this case, the latest group assignment regarding programming. I feel terribly frustrated when I fail to make the programme run like how I want it to be. I continuously try to modify the coding, to better the programme, always seeking for ways to make it a good programme. And then, my group mates told me that well, since we are running out of time, we will just submit our latest coding as it is without further modification and that they think it is fine overall, minus a few cons, such as making a user enter a function number twice in order to get to the function menu.
Due to that, my mood darkens for the day. I dislike submitting something like this for our assignment. No doubt, the whole programme is good in the sense that we satisfy almost all of the required things to be included in our programme, but to me, it is not good enough. I want to further better the programme; I want to get high marks for this assignment. I mean, I look at this programme from a user's point of view. If you are the user, you wouldn't want to enter something twice just to get to the function that you wish for, no? That would be time-consuming; that would be an ineffective programme. Well, the enter-function-twice-thing is just one of the errors (okay, I regard this as an error, to which my group mates feel that it is something that is not really serious and therefore, not much of an error) in our programme; there are a few other things that make me think of the programme as unsatisfactory. Either it's just me, or...well, perhaps it's just me. I have a very high expectation on everything.
I don't know; I give up. I'm tired of this whole coding thing, and in the end, I have to comply with their suggestion of letting it be and submitting the work as it is. Time is running short, and we still couldn't figure out the correction for the programme, so what are we to do but to leave it like this? However, deep in my heart, I feel that if we put our mind to it and aim to correct the mistakes, there is a high chance for us to overcome the errors.
Oh well, end rant. Most of the time, I prefer to keep my emotions in me and complain inside my diary, but this time, I just feel like pouring out my dissatisfaction here.
Pardon me; I'm just venting my frustration here. Oh wait...I just realise this post contradicts with my previous post. Ugh. ==
I feel contented...
...with everything for now.
I wonder if it's too early for one to fell satisfied with things at such an age. Usually, most youths are never satisfied in their life: complaints regarding school work, rants about their lack of time for their to-do stuff; basically, they are always grumbling and whining about anything and everything. I have nothing against them for doing so; I mean, aww, come on...I'm sure everyone does that in some points of their life on Earth, including me as well. Except that I have this feeling of contentment in me nowadays, causing me to remain cheerful although I realise I have only about two weeks to complete my stressful Programming assignment...
Perhaps it is because I found myself a new way to stay happy: join a roleplaying site, post in the roleplays involved, lurk around in the site's spam section and 'ban' people at will. Oh boy, I couldn't help smiling at my computer screen when I read those funny comments posted by the members there. All my stressful and worrisome thoughts disappear as though they have never existed in my mind at all; those negative emotions have been replaced by positive and optimistic thoughts and feelings that I have acquired from writing and spamming on the site. Ah, one disadvantage though: I got addicted to it more than my addiction for Facebook. Hmm.
My feelings of satisfaction can never be comprehended by others, unless you have that sort of emotions too. The feelings of contentment, bringing me to look forward to each new day (not when I think about tsunamis and earthquakes and the nuclear meltdown in Japan though...>.<).
So yeah, I feel contented. End of rambling. Period. ( :
New year, new semester...but where's the new resolution?
New year resolution...I have none.
Old habits and addictions are forever ongoing, unless I have come to a super strong decision to cease those from continuing and move forward with newfound will of getting important and necessary things done. And I know that I possess little willpower in putting tasks of less importance aside; the more I think of leaving them alone for good, the more my desire to do them grows. I end up abandoning the more important work instead.
Yes, I hereby admit that I'm terrible. Indisciplined. Irrational. Any bad adjective you can think of to describe me. GAH~
I remember telling myself during my second semester break that I would study hard enough to score in my final exam papers in my this third semester studying in UTAR. Sigh, it seemed I do not make any effort at all to do so. I can somehow predict my grades are going to drop drastically this semester, no doubt. I am such a failure bleh~
So here you go; a new year has arrived, a new semester has started but what about new resolution of mine? No, there is never one and there won't be one either. Even if I do have one, it won't survive for even a day before the resolution is crushed under the weight of old habits and die-hard addictions.
*solemn face* Rest in peace, dear new resolution. *beaming face* Welcome, old habits and die-hard addictions!
Merry Christmas everyone...
Though I wonder if it was really a merry one after all.
Christmas is just as normal as any other day to me every year. My family and I don't celebrate Christmas, and we never thought of joining in the celebration. Hence, my first statement.
Another reason is that...my final exam is approaching in two days' time. Instead of enjoying the event, I'm supposed to study hard for it. Well, I should be able to since I'm not celebrating the event but alas! I've got myself involved in something which I shouldn't at the moment: Roleplaying. Gah, wrong timing indeed!
Even as I'm typing this, my eyes are occasionally staring at the roleplaying site. = =
But then, I have not a slightest hint of regret, for I truly enjoy the roleplaying experience there. Not to forget, the roleplayers are funny bunch of people. Gosh, you should check the forum spam area. Reading what they posted seriously make me laugh, giggle, like mad. Also, I find that I am more confidence in my writing now compared to last time. Maybe because I write every day ever since I've joined the sites? o.O
Everything has it's pros and cons; and the setback for joining the roleplaying community is I tend to roleplay to the point of abandoning my revision for the upcoming exam. I know, I know, it's my fault. For being not persistent enough to finish revising but go according to my whim to indulge in roleplays. T.T
Oh well, enough talk. Jonie's brain screamed at her, "GET YOUR BUTT AWAY FROM THAT ROLEPLAYING SITE AND GO STUDY NOW, YOU GREAT REVISION PROCRASTINATOR!"
Aye, Jonie Brain. *eyes still glued to the mentioned site*
XD
A brief summary of Sem 2 life in Utar...
Week 1 Sem 2,Utar...
*relax relax*
Oh new subjects to learn...new friends to be friends with and 1st sem friends to catch up, laugh and joke together...
Week 3 Sem 2,Utar...
*thinks*
Okay, I guess I can still manage it...
Week 5 Sem 2,Utar...
*panic alarm ringing*
GAH!!! So fast Test 1 already? I've never even started revising!!! HYAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*mutters mutters* SEI KANG LOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sure die in Cantonese)
Week 7 Sem 2,Utar...
*breathes in, breathes out*
Effective Communication Skills 5-minute-speech individual presentation. Okay. Okay. Okay. I get it. I just need to speak for a few minutes and be done with it. Fine. Fine. Wait. What am I supposed to say again? o.O
Week 9 Sem 2,Utar...(Now)
*half dead and half insane*
Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. More tests. Tests results. Practical reports. Effective Comm Skills Sketch group presentation. Loads of unanswered tutorial questions. Way too much information to squeeze into The Brain. Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. I'm dead meat.
P.S. Dear Phillip boy, please remember to order a delicately carved tombstone and a nice-fitting coffin (the tombstone preferably in pastel blue colour made of high quality marble) for your beloved mother. Thank you.
Conclusion: I'm now absolutely positive that Time has a pair of wings on its back. That's why Time flies...really fast. Although quite fast-paced, things are still kind to me (except two minor bicycle accidents this semester -.- ). Will I survive at the end of the semester? @@
Fate/Stay Night
Ah,Fate/Stay Night! One of my favourites~
A guy named Emiya Shirou...
...dragged into a Holy Grail War, in which the winner out of seven would have his/her wish granted using the Holy Grail obtained...
...became a Master and had a female Servant called Sabre...
...and had to face other six Masters and their respective Servants by battling each other out...
Well, in the anime, though he had to battle the other Masters and Servants together with Sabre, he had managed to befriend a few Masters through the process - Tohsaka Rin who had Archer as her Servant and Ilyasviel, whose Servant, Berserker was gone after a battle with Rin, Archer, Shirou and Sabre. The anime captured my interest particularly due to the odd storyline in the sense that the historical figure, King Arthur was depicted as a woman, none other than the Servant, Sabre. Another plus point was the creative storyline regarding the war for the Holy Grail, the Masters and Servants ideas. It was something out of the ordinary. Of course, there are other titles that are also as brilliant and interesting as this or even more than it but the whole story is pretty impressive. I've included all the pics of the seven Servants and some of the Masters.
Nyehehe, not to forget the chemistry between Shirou and his Servant, Sabre...and there was even someone who opposed their love, Gilgamesh, someone whom I haven't fully understood whether he is a Servant or just another epic hero that exists for whatever reason it is. Just like any other animes, the ending is always as disappointing as ever, although they were supposed to be "all's well, happy and satisfied" ending. Gah, why can't they let destined couples to be together happily ever after? Why must the ending be "we love each other, but we can't be together, so we shall leave it as it is, forever loving and remembering you in the heart"????? ARGHH!!! This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating!!!!!!!!
Hmm, overall, the show is quite a good one. Except...the ending of course. *sulks away*
P.S. Oh yes, forgot something. Matou Sakura was one of the seven Masters with her Servant Rider in the manga, but here in the anime, Rider's Master was her brother, Matou Shinji. Talking about Sakura, she had a great crush on Shirou but anyways, I still prefer Sabre over her to be together with Shirou. Gosh, I just realised...what's wrong with the names starting from S??? Sakura, Shirou, Sabre??? Gah! *poofs away*
