Ah,Fate/Stay Night! One of my favourites~

A guy named Emiya Shirou...
...dragged into a Holy Grail War, in which the winner out of seven would have his/her wish granted using the Holy Grail obtained...
...became a Master and had a female Servant called Sabre...
...and had to face other six Masters and their respective Servants by battling each other out...

Emiya Shirou

Well, in the anime, though he had to battle the other Masters and Servants together with Sabre, he had managed to befriend a few Masters through the process - Tohsaka Rin who had Archer as her Servant and Ilyasviel, whose Servant, Berserker was gone after a battle with Rin, Archer, Shirou and Sabre. The anime captured my interest particularly due to the odd storyline in the sense that the historical figure, King Arthur was depicted as a woman, none other than the Servant, Sabre. Another plus point was the creative storyline regarding the war for the Holy Grail, the Masters and Servants ideas. It was something out of the ordinary. Of course, there are other titles that are also as brilliant and interesting as this or even more than it but the whole story is pretty impressive. Nyehehe, not to forget the chemistry between Shirou and his Servant, Sabre...and there was even someone who opposed their love, Gilgamesh, someone whom I haven't fully understood whether he is a Servant or just another epic hero that exists for whatever reason it is. Just like any other animes, the ending is always as disappointing as ever, although they were supposed to be "all's well, happy and satisfied" ending. Gah, why can't they let destined couples to be together happily ever after? Why must the ending be "we love each other, but we can't be together, so we shall leave it as it is, forever loving and remembering you in the heart"????? ARGHH!!! This is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating!!!!!!!!

Hmm, overall, the show is quite a good one. Except...the ending of course. *sulks away*

P.S. Oh yes, forgot something. Matou Sakura was one of the seven Masters with her Servant Rider in the manga, but here in the anime, Rider's Master was her brother, Matou Shinji. Talking about Sakura, she had a great crush on Shirou but anyways, I still prefer Sabre over her to be together with Shirou. Gosh, I just realised...what's wrong with the names starting from S??? Sakura, Shirou, Sabre??? Gah! *poofs away*

It always takes me ages to come up with a simple and suitable title for my posts. -.-

Well well, I wonder if I need to be involved in at least an accident for every new study semester. Last semester, I had an issue with my bicycle, causing me to fall at the roundabout near the Utar Eastgate. This semester, I got hit by an oncoming bicycle on the bicycle pathway when I was getting back from the campus. Thank goodness I wasn't hurt badly, only two minor cuts on my left wrists and a minor bruise on my fourth finger. My bicycle did suffer a little from the little accident though, its basket deformed at the side due to impact and my bicycle's front, the part supporting the handles was totally turned at an angle of 45 degrees. And guess what? I had to cycle with that 45-degree handle all the way home. I should have snapped a picture of the bicycle's condition... So unlucky of me~

Fine, forget about it. That only spoils people's mood eh? I shall talk about baking then! Seriously, I don't know what has gotten into my brain. Not only I have Procrastinovirus, other types of virus are starting to attack me too. I just simply had to bake something every week, be it muffins or biscuits. Now, I'm thinking of baking a cake... : )

Recently had my test 1. Preparing for my Effective Communication Skills assignment, where I have to write an outline and present a 5-min speech on a topic I choose. Had a hard time thinking of what I should talk about, considering that the choice of topics is too wide. Finally settled down on Manners. What a boring and serious sounding topic right? Hmm.

*suddenly mumbles* Maybe I should bake a cake tomorrow...

Time to sleep. Lights out. Nights~ *zzzzz*

Procrastinovirus

Funny that I'm slacking although I'm having my tests. Not that I'm already well-prepared, I know that I still lack the required knowledge and information for the tests and I need to revise as much as possible to get those info glued to my brain. Maybe it's the work of the virus of procrastination. Virus,I shall name thee Procrastinovirus! And so, I think I'm infected with Procrastinovirus and it's incurable at the moment, and the only thing to do is to use super strong willpower to delay the virus from spreading in the body. With the Procrastinovirus running around in my bloodstream, I am currently forced to slack and laze around, not wanting to do my tutorial questions for tomorrow's classes and studying for tomorrow's Organic Chem test. Instead, the virus bends my will towards watching anime episodes and Facebooking. What a strong virus breed. (Actually I willingly give in to the virus haha~)

My homemade garlic bread! ^^

For the past few days, my housemates and I did some baking with my oven. Baked some garlic bread, a batch of choc chip butter cookies which are in funny looking shapes (we do not have proper baking trays) and mini sized choc chip muffins. Nowadays, I'm in the mood to bake more stuff. I feel like doing some baking every day. Probably the work of Procrastinovirus again? Trying to deviate me from studying by baking muffins and cookies instead, causing me to procrastinate in anything to do with studies. What a naughty virus... (still I'm willing to follow the virus' direction~)


Finished watching Fate/Stay Night in just two days. Planning to watch Shakugan no Shana after my Thermodynamics test on Wednesday. Hopefully I can stay focused...

I think I should strangle Procrastinovirus for whatever it has done (though I actually enjoy the distraction from studies)... : )

Ouran High School Host Club

I quite enjoy watching this anime after all, except that I feel there's no great purpose in this anime. It's like the anime is a meaningless one. It's about a girl, Haruhi Fujioka who enters Ouran High School, a place where it is full of only wealthy students. Haruhi manages to get in through the aid of the school's President, who is actually Tamaki Suoh's father. Tamaki Suoh is the President of Host Club, a club created by him with the purpose of making others, especially women, to smile and be happy. Together with Kyouya Ootori as the vice president in charge of the the club's finance, the twin brothers Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin, little cute Mitsukuni Haninozuka and the strong, quiet Takashi Morinozuka, the hosts serve their female customers using their own styles to suit the customers' tastes and keep them entertained. Tamaki is the "princely" type; Kyouya is "cool" type; Hikaru and Kaoru are under the "devil" type and usually employ their "forbidden brotherly love, making them look like homesexuals; Mitsukuni or favouritely called as Honey, is the "shotacon" type; and Takashi, usually addressed as Mori, portrays the "stoic" type. They use the Third Music Room in the school to host their club's events and activities.

Despite being a girl, Haruhi is suddenly involved with the club due to accidentally breaking an expensive vase in the Third Music Room. She is forced to help out in the club in order to clear her debts for breaking the vase. Initially, the club members thought that she is a guy but later on, with Tamaki being the last to know, they found out that she is actually female. However, she prefers dressing like a guy and decides to remain in the club. Tamaki called himself as a "daddy" for Haruhi and Kyouya becomes the "mummy".

Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin

As the story progresses, Tamaki starts to fall for her but he is unaware of his feelings, thinking that he is always protecting her and fussing over her because it is what a "daddy" should do for his daughter. The twin brothers, Hikaru and Kaoru also develop some special feelings for Haruhi, mainly because Haruhi is able to differentiate their identity easily unlike others who always mistake one for the other.

Tamaki Suoh

Towards the end of the story, something happen regarding their family businesses, forcing Tamaki into a situation where he has to marry the daughter of a company's President who is taking over the Suoh's businesses in order to save the family business and also to dismiss the club. In the end, Kyouya saves the day as he manages to overcome the problem with his own work and the club remains. Haruhi finally acknowledges that she has fallen in love with Tamaki and the anime ends with Haruhi dancing with all the host club members.

Takashi Morinozuka

The anime is fairly enjoyable with enough funny scenes mainly due to Tamaki. However, it may not be worth watching though.

UFO baby (Daa! Daa! Daa!)

I've watched a few episodes of this anime before on Ntv7 but didn't finish the series. Decided to watch from the beginning till the end, a total of 78 episodes. Um, the anime was actually cute and hilarious at times but as the episodes progress, I find that the story gradually becomes quite boring. Partly because the whole story is about how the main characters, Kouzuki Miyu and Sayounji Kanata help to take care of an alien baby, Ruu and sitter-pet, Wanya from a planet called Otto after accidentally landing on Earth due to travelling through a dimensional chasm.

Sayounji Kanata

Basically, throughout the story, Miyu and Kanata both act as parents to baby Ruu on Earth. Initially, Miyu and Kanata resented the idea of being called "Papa" and "Mama" by Ruu but as they get used to living with Ruu and Wanya, they enjoy staying together as a family in the Sayounji temple owned by Kanata's father, who is a monk. Miyu and Kanata always have to cover Ruu and Wanya's identity from their classmates, their homeroom teacher, a mangaka friend called Mikan, Miyu's parents and Kanata's father. As Wanya has the ability to transform, their alien presence could still be kept as a secret from Miyu's astronaut mother, who is in search of alien life forms and planning to dissect them (or so she said).

Kouzuki Miyu

In the story, Miyu and Kanata love to quarrel among themselves but their feelings grow for each other over time. In the anime, their relationship do not progress much. There's this girl called Hanakomachi Christine who is chasing after Kanata's love and whenever she sees Miyu close together with Kanata, she starts imagining and assuming that Miyu and Kanata plan to get married and live happily ever after as a young couple, and she will start to have superhuman strength to pluck out big trees or lift up something heavy and fling to those around her unconsciously. I feel that she's quite a scary character...

Ruu

In the end, Miyu and Kanata's classmates know about Ruu and Wanya's real identity and together, they assist them to return back to Otto with the aid of other aliens from planet Sharaku.There are a few episodes which I feel is the best among the 78 episodes but a lot of them are mainly about protecting Ruu and Wanya's identity and aiding them to return to Otto.

Overall, it's just okay.

Idling away time...

Once I start something, it's quite hard to stop.

The above statement only applies to certain stuff, and obviously, studying and revising do not fall in this category. What I meant is things like watching animes, reading, facebooking and ahah, daydreaming.

The thing is, I've been crazy over animes for the past few weeks. Been watching shows like Full Moon wo Sagashite, UFO Baby, Ouran High School Host Club and Skip Beat! continuously without ever thinking of stopping. And it's definitely bad, although it helps me to keep my brain from being stressed and bored. Somehow, I'll become a little useless, only responding to hunger, sleep; other than that, my butt will be stuck on the chair, viewing the animes. All the necessary work to be done becomes unnecessary. And the unnecessary activities become of primary importance.

How ironical, though I keep reminding myself at a tiny corner of my brain that I should concentrate more on my studies rather than wasting my time on anime watching and facebooking, I'm still more happy to waste time, like trying to cheat myself out of reality. The bigger portion of my brain prefers to ignore the tiny part's advice and suppresses it with the thought of procrastination. "There's still time to finish the tutorial questions. Let's continue this anime episode first and oh yes, the Farmville harvest is still waiting," says the bigger brain portion. "If you say so," says the tiny part almost in a whisper. Sigh~

Am I under an idling-away-time spell in a world of my own? If so, can someone help me break it and pull me back to the track of reality? Well, well, I'm just asking a silly question which I've already known the answer. The key lies in me, eh?

La Corda Doro

I've watched this long long time ago but had forgotten to blog about it. It was the very first anime that caught my eyes in the newspaper. They aired it on Astro Animax channel, but since I did not have Astro, I was unable to watch it.

Hino Kahoko

This anime will appeal to music lovers as the way the characters handle their musical instruments really look and sound wonderful to the eyes and ears. Plus, the boys in La Corda Doro are very cute. *daydreams*

Lili

Here, in the Primo Passo part, the main character is Hino Kahoko, who was not a music student at first. Due to the presence of a fairy named Lili (and Lili is a male for goodness sake...Anata no namae wa Lili desu ka?*gasp*Doushite?Doushite?!), Hino was pulled into the world of music. She suddenly found herself entering a music concour without any musical talent at all. With her magical violin given by Lili and her growing love for music, she managed to perform very well in the concour. However, deep in her heart, she knew this was not her actual ability. Other music students looked down upon her, thinking that she was not fit to learn music at all and scorned her as a newcomer. Hino had to bear all the pressure around and within her and one day, she gave up her violin when three strings of her magical violin broke due to her inner tension. Slowly, she then embraced music back again with the support of the friends she made in the concour: Len Tsukimori , violinist; Ryoutaro Tsuchiura, pianist; Hihara Kazuki , who plays trumpet;  Shimizu Keiji, who plays the cello; Yunoki Azuma, who plays the flute and Fuyuumi Shouko, who plays the baritone. In the end, she managed to start from scratch as a violinist and completed her presentation in the concour. Although she did not win in the concour, she was happy
that she can finally play the violin with her own ability and not relying on magic.

The best part in Primo Passo was the ending part, which ended with the La Corda Boys performing Salute d' Amour to Hino. Ah, so romantic~

I like the opening theme song, Brand New Breeze. It's nice. Ahem, my favourite characters, mainly the La Corda Boys and Hino! Though I like all the boys, I prefer Hino to be together with Len. They are like a pair from the beginning.

Overall, it was a nice watch for Primo Passo. However, it was not that good for Secondo Passo. Everything was hanging halfway; it seems that it does not matter whether Secondo Passo exists or not, as though a meaningless sequel.

I hope they would continue the series though. I feel there is still potential in continuing the La Corda Doro anime. Hopefully.
