Skip Beat!

If it wasn't for Julia to recommend this title, I would not have heard about it at all. Skip Beat! has an anime and a manga series, but usually I always start off with the animes first, so that I wouldn't be so deeply disappointed with how much details being left out from the manga itself.

Kyoko Mogami
And oh Julia, you are so right that I would enjoy this anime. Although at first glance, I was thinking the drawings or pictures of the three characters in the story, Kyoko Mogami, Ren Tsuruga and Sho Fuwa were kinda overmature (how to describe the drawing???) to my liking and i was wondering why Julia said that there were hot male leads in the story. Even Kyoko looks kinda tough. However, I started to like this anime after watching the first few episodes. And guess what? for the first time in my life, I had actually stayed up till 2am just to finish watching this 25-episode anime, and in the end, I did not exactly get the ending which I had hoped for: I had wanted the 20-year-old Ren to openly confess to the 16-year-old Kyoko that he loves her. Cheh. The ending that I got was just Kyoko waiting for Ren with her prepared bento for him, they smiled and that's it. The end. How frustrating~ (see? that's why I watched the anime first before getting my hands on the manga)

Sho Fuwa
So, the main character, Kyoko actually wanted to get into the show business in order to take revenge on Sho, her childhood friend whom she loved and treasured the most but ended up knowing that Sho had never shower any feelings for her but just treated her as his maid. She had wanted to get famous and become the top star to beat Sho. When applying to get into a showbiz company, LME, she met Ren, the star of the company, who was also the person Sho had tried to snatch the top star position. Kyoko and Ren's relationship wasn't that good at first when ren got to know that Kyoko's main reason for joining showbiz was just for revenge. Later in the story, though Kyoko had failed in the company's audition, the company's president looked up upon her as a possible potential and therefore, placed her in a new section called Love Me section, where Kyoko had to work hard to get everyone to love her as a star. Soon, Kyoko who was unable to open her heart to anyone else after dumping Sho, started to learn to love again after undertaking various jobs and tasks given to the Love Me section. She made a new friend, Kanae Kotonami, whom Kyoko affectionately called her Moko-chan, and both of them became best friends in the Love Me section. Basically, the story is about how Kyoko fares in the world of showbiz and her various plans on getting her revenge but in the end, in the anime, the revenge part vanished, and even the romance part between Kyoko and Ren was left hanging. Uh.
Ren Tsuruga

Ren Tsuruga...see?This is what I meant about mantou faces

Anyways, the anime does have a lot of funny parts, usually to do with Kyoko's depression and anger, making her emitting an evil, dark aura to those around her, with sinister looks and smiles. When she's angry because she remembered about Sho, there's the devils and angels around her debating whether she should keep control of her emotions or unleash her fury and launch her dark, evil plans. I find it cute when the mature and serious faces of Ren and Sho and other side characters look like mantous (or pows). Hee~

Well, my favourite character this time would be Ren Tsuruga. I find him to be a nice and mature guy, as compared to Sho. Of course, Ren is perfect together with Kyoko. If only...if only...if only they made it clearly that Ren and Kyoko are together, maybe by just simple words, sentences,
Kanae Kotonami
hugs? Uh,grrr.

Sho Fuwa

Overall, it was an enjoyable anime. But I bet the manga is way much better.

Kouyama Mitsuki

Oh,seriously. This anime was so touching to me. I cried a lot of times when I watched this anime.  Somehow, this anime made me felt as though I'm a character in the story, that kind of things. Or was it just because I'm sensitive and emotional?

Kira Takuto
Sakurai Eichi
Well, in the story, a twelve-year-old girl, Kouyama Mitsuki (or is it supposed to be Mitsuki Kouyama?), was contracted with throat cancer. Mitsuki loved singing very very much and she had wanted to enter a singing audition in order to get the chance to achieve her dream of becoming a singer. Another reason was that she had known a boy older than her by four years, Sakurai Eichi in the orphanage and both of them had made a promise to achieve their respective dreams of Eichi becoming an astronaut and Mitsuki a singer when they are able to meet each other again, when Eichi left for America with his newly-adopted parents.

Then suddenly one day, two Shinigamis who called themselves Negi Ramen (group name given by their boss xD), Kira Takuto and Yui Meroko appeared before her very eyes out of a calendar given by Eichi. Mitsuki was then told that she had only a year more to live and they were assigned to make sure that she died when time comes. Mitsuki soon befriended them and told them her desire to become a singer so that she could meet Eichi again. using Takuto's power, Mitsuki was transformed into a sixteen-year-old in order to join the audition. Both Shinigamis thought she would not pass the audition but to their surprise, Mitsuki sang her heart out with her beautiful voice and landed a contract with the singing company holding the audition. From there onwards, her singing career began.
Yui Meroko

Meroko in doll form
However, Mitsuki kept it secret from her grandmother, Fuzuki and her family doctor who acted like a father to her, Wakaoji Keiichi, who was actually an ex-member of Mitsuki's father's band group, Route L. Mitsuki, whose stage name was Full Moon, was introduced to her manager, Ooshige Masami and she managed to debut with her own song, Myself. The song is nice to listen, it expresses the feelings very well. Or was it another of my emotional outlooks? *shakes head*

Full Moon
So everything went well till one day, Wakaoji and Ooshige found out about Mitsuki's secret but in the end they both supported her. Mitsuki managed to go to America in search of Eichi but when she came to know of Eichi's death, she lost her aim to live and sing and even gave up her singing. Takuto who slowly regained back his memories when he was human, gave her advices and encouragement and told her of his regrets of giving up his life just like that. Mitsuki then listened to Takuto and continued back her singing career. She held her live concert and sang all her feelings and hope out to the audience. During her concert, however, Takuto and Meroko disappear into another realm. In the end, though Takuto had defied the rules as a Shinigami and actually had to be a ghost due to his act of recalling his human memories, he was granted another chance to start anew as Kira Takuto, once a sixteen-year-old singer in Route L together with Wakaoji and Kouyama Aoi, Mitsuki's father, whilst Meroko had turned into an angel as she possessed kindness as a Shinigami.

Rio Izumi
Um, there were also other side characters that I did not mention, like Rio Izumi, a Shinigami who loves Meroko, Jonathan, Izumi's partner in retrieving human souls, Tanaka, the maid in Mitsuki's household, Wakamatsu Madoka, Full Moon's rival, Mitsuki's group of friends. In the show, my favourite characters are none other than Mitsuki, Takuto and Wakaoji. And of course, when it comes to character pairings...nyehehehe~ Mitsuki is definitely the perfect partner for Takuto, and Wakaoji with Ooshige. However, it would be better if in the anime, the pairings of these two couples were clearly shown at the ending. Sigh~ Gosh, I've never cried so much for a show before in my life, as compared to other sad movies or dramas. I cried mostly because the songs, Myself and especially Eternal Snow, left deep marks in my heart, as though I'm the one who had gone through what the main character went through.

Nevertheless, the anime was a truly nice one. Well done! *claps hands with smiling eyes*

P.S. I know the details about the anime are not complete. If you are interested to know more about it, there are several options:
- Watch it
- Read the manga
- Read the reviews by others

Tears to Tiara

Finished watching the anime in about two days' time. It's really an enjoyable show!
Arawn
Arthur
Pwyll
At first I was kinda blur with the story, thinking that the Demon King Arawn was a bad guy in the show. After some time only did I realised that he was actually one of the two main male characters in the story, apart from Arthur,a human of the Elven King Pwyll descendant and son of late chief of the Gael tribe. And the first thought I had about Arawn was "why did they make him look not handsome enough compared to Pwyll and Arthur?" Even one side character in the story,Taliesin,a wandering minstrel(that's what he called himself) who was actually the son of the late chief of the Brigantes tribe,is better looking than Arawn.Uh.Arawn's body and clothing, including the white hair look fine except his face, making him not completely handsome enough for Riannon,Arthur's younger sister who possessed some Elven magical capabilities.Despite the flaw,I like Arawn's cool character compared to Arthur's rash and emotional one.

Taliesin
Octavia
I like the story, but there certain parts which I feel are not adequate in explaining the plot of the story. And I half thought that Octavia,a good swordswoman who once served the Holy Empire as a soldier, was a lesbian, when seeing her reaction after her once-very-best-friend-turn-enemy, Lidia, died in the fight between them. Not that I am biased towards homosexual relationships, but she's too pretty to become a lesbian. It would be such a waste of her character. I really admire Octavia though. I had wished for Octavia to be together with Arthur but unfortunately, they are just comrades in the story. Sigh~

In the story, Riannon was the wife of Arawn (since she had chosen him as the chief of the Gael tribe; Arthur is only the First Knight of the tribe and not the chief). She possessed the power to heal the injured and foresee  the future of a person. She can also cast spells to protect herself and kill off enemies. I feel that there's more in her than that is shown in the anime. It could have been better if they state clearly what was the hidden power within her that she had been afraid to approach. At first, I thought that she and Arthur are partners and not siblings (cos' I was a bit slow, and both of them look kinda nice for each other). Hehe...

Riannon
Oh yes, there are elves in the story.Three types namely the Miner Elf,the Water Elf and the House Elf. Rathty is the Miner Elf, Llyr is the Water Elf and Ermin, Limwris and Epona are the House Elves. They are all very cute and lovable characters. Talking about Epona, I had wanted to see her and Taliesin together but unfortunately, they didn't elaborate much on that. Anyway, both of them do share a few moments together and they were very funny.Haha. Shall I add another 'if only'?

Rathty
Epona

Ermin
Llyr
Limwris

Well, I shall not talk about the bad guys as it is nicer to talk about the good ones. And um, I feel that they should improve the appearance of the dragons. the drawing doesn't make them look like noble creatures at all, more of some fearsome monsters. Hmm. And to think that Ogam in the anime is a dragon.  It's just that he remained in his human form except during the times where his breath of fire was needed. No doubt, he is wise, just like how a dragon character should be.

Morgan
Oh, I forgot this character: Morgan! She's also from the Gael tribe. She's Octavia's best friend, and when Octavia handed her a handmade necklace made of Red Branch coral, I was thinking about the lesbian thing. Uh, think too much already. They are just friends, that's all. I don't quite like Morgan's character, partly because of her rough and tomboyish attitude despite her skimpily dressed clothing. LOL.

Overall, it was a good anime and quite worth watching it too. Too bad they didn't place more romance in it. -.-

Commencing Sem 2 in UTAR

Hmm.Time flies.I think I've repeated this particular phrase to almost every one I know. But seriously, time just simply passes by without a care in the world. You can never stop time in reality, unlike some kind of science fiction movies where there's a time traveling machine bringing you back to whichever year you want to accomplish one mission and so on,or you can freeze time just for a while. If only I can do that.Come to think of it,if I am able to freeze time for just a little while,I would have the chance to actually savour my holiday moments or any cherished moments in life. But,oh well,it's just another 'If only...' story. And most of the time, the if-onlys never get the chance to happen and exist in reality.

That's why I always love to stay in the world of never ending fantasies, where you make your dreams come true just by thinking and imagining.I love it when you make your imagination seems to be real. It's like the place for people to take a break from the normalities and realities of life and embark on a different yet exciting journey of endless fantasies. You might think that I'm a weird person eh?

Sigh, sigh, sigh.Second semester(or trimester,as UTAR calls it) is approaching in just two days time. And I feel so not prepared to embrace the second semester.I wonder how it would be like.Different friends altogether as there's no one in the same tutorials and some practicals so far, which means that the learning environment would be slightly different too.Hopefully, all my classes are fun and lively...

I seriously have to work harder in order to get a higher CGPA.

*ahem* Still trying~

Distractions,distractions!

Argh!I can't concentrate on revising for tomorrow's Physical Chemistry exam!Main cause of distraction:Facebook.Ways to solve the distraction problem:Close it.Don't think about it.Easier said than done eh?I know I can put Facebook aside and still survive but somehow, there's this magnet attracting me to open my Facebook account. It's hopeless at the moment to try to not think of facebooking.Huh.

I can't imagine what my exam grades would be like for every single subject I took, considering that I have not been working hard for the exams. No matter how I try to console myself that I've done my very best in answering those exam questions, deep inside,I know I had not done enough preparation.Isn't it ridiculous that I know the consequences and yet still do whatever I like, pretending that the known or predicted consequences would never happen to me?

When will I ever learn to control myself?

P.S. Die liao lar Physical Chemistry.@@

I'm feeling...feelingless

Had Maths 1 exam today in the morning.Felt kinda numb sitting for exams.Observed lots of people still continuing the habit of last-minute reading of notes which I did during my primary and secondary years but not any more in university.Pointless to stuff further info into brain.I know my brain limitations:It refuses to accept anymore important-things-to-remember-for-the-exam few minutes before entering the examination venue.

The questions were do-able,but deep in my heart I knew I am out of practice in Maths and I felt so disappointed with myself as I proceed answering whatever that was in store for me.I had a few not-so-sure-of-my-answers and I couldn't solve one or two problems, which I knew were actually easy.Yet I left them unfinished,as though not giving them credit for existing as easy questions in the exam.Uh,great.Anyways,I'm the only person to be blamed for not doing enough Maths revision. And to think that I was aiming for full marks.Right.Keep dreaming,Jonie!

Somehow,I'm now living in my own world of fantasy, always in a dreamy-like mood.I see, hear, touch, smell, taste but I cannot remember doing so.It's like I'm feeling...feelingless.I can actually picture a corner in my heart feels so empty...I'm starting to think if I'm like Bella in Twilight, where she felt an empty hole in her life when Edward and his family left Forks. If so,I wonder why...it's not as if I have my Edward yet...I'm missing a piece in this puzzle...

Thinking furiously of what to write as a short story but still come up with NOTHING.How frustrating. To think that I think but there's nothing good enough for a story.Brain, hello?Could you please get out of your unproductive mode and give me a hand here?Sheesh.

I guess whatever I'm feeling right now is part of growing up eh?

I need inspiration,ideas!

I had wanted to post something here for quite some time but decided not to cos' it's more to do with personal feelings and all that. Not so suitable for a place which is kinda private yet public, meaning here.

Currently having my final exam and will be back in Penang in no time!Hooray!Considering that I've been stuck in Kampar for about three months without anything interesting to do,anyone of the same frequency to talk to (except Xing Yii),anywhere interesting to go,ugh.Quite boring in fact.If this condition persists,I think my brain will retreat into the world of endless fantasies and imagination, which is happening now as I'm typing this post.Feeling dreamy~

I was browsing the Net when I stumbled upon a site which has got to do with writing stories.Cavewriters.com it's called.I find the website pretty compared to other similar sites, though it has those primitive looking designs, overall it gives a very sophisticated profesional look.Good job for the webpage design.Became a member there and actually can't wait to contribute a short story there.Unfortunately, eversince I've left for Kampar,I never had the opportunity to continue my writing.Busy with assignments, tests, experiments, etc etc...If I were to write,I would just hold my pencil and just let it hover above the blank papers,in the end producing nothing out.

Oh how I envy those people who are capable in a lot of things!I have a friend who can actually cooks well, writes well, active in outdoor activities, presents well, thinks critically from every single aspects, and there may be more hidden talents I have yet to know of.How I wish that I could be just like my friend! The more I admire the abilities of those capable lot,the more I feel so incompetent compared to them.Take for example,my writing.I can never write as well as them which is actually disappointing to me,considering that I love writing and even do consider making writing as one of my future careers.I'm starting to feel a little useless here...

I need inspiration,ideas,argh!

P.S.I haven't started revising Physical Chemistry yet and Monday's my exam.Great.
